         The three weeks in Alaska from August into September were a welcomed blessing.  It was a time for going home to  where the heart lives.   It was a time for the mind to rest and the body to recharge.  That being said there was little traditional resting but time to forget that which wears you down in the comings and goings down in the lower 48.  Towering peaks, massive glaciers, abundant wildlife, good honest people and a return to primeval moments that remind us  of who and what we really are.  Nothing more or nothing less than a thread in the tapestry of life, inextricably dependent on the whole web.      

Often asked about my work and lifestyle.  I think it's best to say I hope that in living a just and good life it will come through in my work and inspire those who see it to respect and help preserve that which cannot be replaced.  That my children and yours can live in better times.   I read a quote on the side of shack in Alaska.  

       "If there must be hard times let them be now with me, so that my children can live in peace.

My  Book, "An Alaskan Journey", covering decades of photographing Alaska is now available.

 The book has been received so well and I'm getting great feedback. Thanks so much for the support and all the kind words on the book.   I worked on it for many years and it's rewarding to know it's appreciated.
